We’re a Let Grow School!

This year, we’re proud to announce that Harris Academy is officially a Let Grow School—partnering with the Let Grow Foundation to support one of our favorite things: scaffolded independence.

Let Grow is all about helping kids become more confident and capable by giving them chances to do real-life things on their own. Each month, our learners take on a “Let Grow Experience”—a small challenge they choose (with a parent’s permission) and complete independently.

And they’re already running with it!
This month alone, we’ve seen:
– A 6th grader organizing her family’s pantry from top to bottom
– Another riding his scooter to school for the first time, all by himself
– A 4th grader proudly packing his own lunch each day

These might sound like little things—but to us, they’re big signs of growth. When we give kids trust and space, they step up in remarkable ways. Confidence grows. Problem-solving skills blossom. And kids discover that they can.

Let Grow aligns beautifully with our microschool’s mission: to nurture curious, capable, self-directed learners who are ready for the real world. We’re excited to keep celebrating their independence all year long—one small (but mighty) step at a time.
